Restored Homes on Marshall & Day reaching new values

2014 saw two nicely restored homes in the 2,000-2,500 sf range sell for over $250,000. This raises the previous market high in this neighborhood from $225,000, putting the average price per square foot in the $100-$125 range, with some tastefully restored "townhome" style properties reaching the $150/sf mark. With three more restored homes coming on the market in the $220-$230K price point in January, all indicators point to an acknowlegement that this neighborhood that has been transitioning over the last decade from distressed rental to restored historic has reached a point of solid footing in the Roanoke city market and can prove to be a solid investment for both realtors and homeowners.
