We got the phone call last year. A local couple wanted to see our current homes for sale. Our 538 project was too small, so they asked us to find a historic home and renovate it for them.
511 Seventh Street was owned by another investor who we had already contacted about collaborating with on this house. When our clients walked through 511 for the first time, they fell in love with it. After a few more visits and brainstorming sessions, we moved forward on an agreement to purchase the house from the investor, complete the renovations, and resell it as a "new" home to the buyers. With the backing of our private investors, we were able to move quickly from discussion to a contract and get this project started. This extremely unique home is a one-of-a-kind in Roanoke. It was built for Doctor Isaac Eldridge Huff around 1900. We are continuing to dig to discover the history of this glorious home owned by a prominent member of Roanoke society. And as we dig through the past, we are beginning to bring it back to life.
